About me

I believe everyone can make art, because it's fun and makes you feel good. This is why I love to teach.

I grew up in Oakland where I earned a BFA at CCAC, later an MA in Art Education. I've taught art to kids for many years, now I'm in my studio, working with adult artists at NIAD(niadart.org), and teaching workshops. My first picture book, 'Chinese and English Nursery Rhymes: Stories to Share and Sing' (Tuttle Publishing, 2010).  I sell my paintings, prints, greeting cards, scarves and tea towels on Etsy, and at craft/art sales and shops. My work is in private collections in the US and abroad, and two hospitals: Sutter (Van Ness campus, Stanford Pediatric floor, SF) and Kaiser(Pediatric Behavioral Health, Petaluma, CA). Coming soon, one of my prints will be on TV! (Council of Dads, NBC. Look for the clouds in the sky with a ladder, in one of the kids' bedrooms on the show.)

Follow me on Instagram or join my mailing list to find out what I'm up to!

Contact me if  you'd like to sell my work in your store. Current stockists:
